Maria Blois Product Care.
Fur
With use, small wrinkles may develop and the colour may change slightly, adding to its charm. Although all our leathers have been treated with water protection products, they have a natural finish, so please avoid overexposure to water.
- If the product gets wet, remove any residual water with a dry cloth and allow it to dry naturally. The natural finish of our leathers gives them a soft and luxurious feel.
- In case the leather gets scratched or worn, you can apply leather cream (natural or colored) to your bag. Then, buff them with a dry cotton cloth to enhance their natural shine and remove any traces before use. Test first on a small surface at the base of the bag or somewhere not visible to make sure the leather cream you use is the right color and has the right finish.
- It is not advisable to use leather creams on matte leathers, as leather creams often create a slightly shiny effect.
- For light colors, avoid contact with clothing with strong dyes, such as dark jeans, as they can stain the leather when rubbed against the fabric. We recommend professional cleaning services when necessary.
- Use a soft, dry cloth to remove loose dirt.
- Keep it away from heat and humidity
- Store it in the dust bag upright with paper padding (to keep its shape), making sure all straps and chains are placed inside the bag to avoid leather marks.
Suede
The suede we use in the lining of our bags is a unique and delicate material, and as a derivative of leather it can transfer dye to other garments. Avoid exposure to water. If it gets wet, remove the water and let it dry. As suede has a very soft and velvety finish, water droplets can darken the material temporarily, returning it to its original color after drying. If any water marks remain, use a soft brush to remove residue and unify the appearance of the material. It is important that the brush you use has soft bristles so as not to damage the material; avoid using brushes with plastic or metal bristles.
Fittings and buckles
The fittings, zippers and other material elements we use come from top-tier suppliers in the European industry. In some cases, when special coatings are used, a protective layer of lacquer is applied to these elements to preserve their original condition for longer. To preserve the original condition, we recommend using a dry, soft cloth such as microfiber to clean and polish these elements.
Do not expose to chemicals, alcohol, hand sanitizer, acetone, hand lotions or sunscreens as this may affect the finish and discolor or remove the protective lacquer. Avoid contact with abrasive surfaces as this may irreversibly damage the piece.
